3. 2. 3 Radom access teaching 
In teaching, when teaching the same content at different time about different context for different teaching purpose teachers should pay attention to use different ways to show.  In other words, learner can get into study through various ways. arbitrarily, then they can get different understand of the multifaced thing from different aspects, this is so-called “radom access teaching” which include the following steps: present fundamental context, radom access to study, identify problems, group discussion, study evaluation.

4  The contribution of network for college English teaching
    Currently, one of the main goals of college English teaching reform is to change the traditional teacher-centered teaching structure, instead to build a new kind of teaching mode according to which teachers play the role of guiding and student is the main body of the teaching process.
On this basis, to reform the teaching mode, the content of courses, teaching method and teaching mode gradually, comprehensively. And the Ministry of Education issued “college English curriculum requirement” in January 2004. This document re-regulated the practice of college English teaching from different angles, this important document set the goal of college English teaching requirement for training students’comprehensive English ability, especially listening and speaking ability. When consider language application as the  prominent goal, pay attention to integrating the skill and cultural knowledge and professional English organically. The document retained part of the traditional teaching mode and try to establish a students- centered , with the support of modern information technology for English teaching. Although it has retained some traditional teaching mode, but it devotes effort to change the wrong concept of college English teachers.


The current college English teachers are facing with two questions, one is complacent and inheritance to the traditional teacher-centered teaching models. The second is the college English teachers hold a laissez-faire attitude with excuse of new teach model which advocate students-centered. For these superscript and problems, constructivism learning concept put forward a solution and the theoretical foundation. Constructivism believes: learners are the active main body of study according to their original experience and knowledge they have. Then they start to build their knowledge, the process always has two steps: assimilation and adapt. While the web-based college English teaching platform provided huge volumes of text and natural scenarios in the process of constructing knowledge.
According to a survey about college students’ English level, we know that the majority of students has basically mastered English grammer and theoretical knowledge of language after the college entrance examination. However, a common phenomenon is that these students’ oral English and written ability is relatively poor, that is to say their language ability is not enough. The main reason is after ten or more than ten years’ traditional learning mothod, it is difficult for them to escape from the old concept and it is difficult for them to adapt to independent learning model. They still pay much attention to face-to-face class, teacher’s teaching material, and they don’t spend enough time to preview and after-school review. Therefore they are lack of self-construction of knowledge, especially the lack of specific language learning scenarios. So it is difficult for them to integrate their original knowledge and experience into the new process of constructing knowledge. The Document advocated that every school should make full use of multimedia and network technology, introduce new teaching model to take instead of the original teacher-centered class mode. Making use of internet is the best way to help students construct their knowledge, because the internet not only provided the learners an ideal learning environment, but also provided them unparalleled scenarios contract to traditional class. Internet is not only the information center but also the media people make use to transmit information. The knowledge learners get is in fact the accumulation and processing of information so the introduce of internet to education break open and distance education. It is the singnal form of imparting knowledge, it replaced the traditional sense of teacher-centered concepts to a large extent so that students can get information from a broader ways, and it is useful to training students to think of problems from different perspective.
4. 1 Web-based teaching mode which provided unparalleled creation of the scene contract to traditional teaching
Constructivism holds that knowledge is not taught by teachers, but constructed by the learners according to a certain scenarios that is the social background or civilization, with the help of others, making use of the necessary learning materials. Constructivism stressed that the scenes in the learning environment must be conducive to learning by the students to construct meaningful content. Teaching design not only take teaching objective analysis into account but also pay attention to the creation of scenarios which is beneficial for student to construct significance. And consider the creation of scenarios is one of the most important element in teaching design. Because the difficulty of learning English lies , except the classroom environment, in the lack of enough learning environment which is the very restriction to large extent for the students to make progress in their language ability. And it not only includes structural knowledge but also a large number of the experience and the non-structural background. Students is the main body of conducting the information, and the main body of constructing significance, rather than the passive recipient of external stimulation, teacher should help the students to building significance and then to promote the students rather than the transmitor and disseminator of knowledge. “Situation”, “Collaboration”, “Conversation”, and “Constructing significance” are the four elements of learning environment. From the perspective of teaching mode, constructivism stressed that “learning-centered”, “students-centered” which challenged the traditional teaching mode “teacher-centered”, “teaching-centered”. To sum up, the core of constructivism can be described in one sentence: that is “students-centered” and it stressed that the students take the initiative to explore the knowledge, take the initiative to find the significance of knowledge and construct the significance of knowledge.转贴于 酷文网-论文下载中心 http://www.coolwen.net
