建构主义与情境化教学在大学网络英语教学中的应用(英文)

Abstract: At present, constructivism and situated-learning and its relative theory are being widely issued in the teaching profession. Which have challenged the traditional teaching theory completely. Constructivism stressed student-centered in the study and that the leaner build the significance according to the initiative under the previous cognitive structure as well as by other people and environment.
But the traditional methods have weakened the initiative of student, and laid much stress on the guidance of teacher. Here, after a systematic explanation of the constructivism to get some significant guidance about the modern college English teaching.

摘 要:目前,建构主义和情境化教学及学习理论在教学界被广泛讨论。建构主义对传统的教学式提出了颠覆性的挑战,建构主义强调以学习者为中心,认为学习是学习者主动建构意义的过程,强调学习是一个学习者主动根据先前的认知结构,同时受他人和环境的影响,通过信息加工过程,建构当前事物意义的过程。而传统教学则弱化了学生的能动性,偏重教师的指导。这里旨在通过对建构主义教学观的综述,提出该理论对大学外语教学的启示。

Introduction
At present, constructivism and situated-learning and its relative theory are being widely issued in the teaching profession. which have challenged the traditional teaching theory completely. Constructivism stressed student-centered in the study and that the leaner build the significance according to the initiative under the previous cognitive structure as well as by other people and environment.
But the traditional methods have weakened the initiative of student, and laid much stress on the guidance of teacher. Here, after a systematic explanation of the constructivism to get some significant guidance about the modern college English teaching.

1  General introduction about constructivism
   How about the origin and development of constructivism, What is constructivism? The following words will show these clearly.
1. 1 The origin and development of the constructivism
Constructivism is also translated as structure. Since 90’s, constructivism is one of the branch of cognitive and is the further development of cognitive. Constructivism is the most active area of the cognitive psychology research. Its appearance and development can be said to be a revolution in the field of psychology. Constructivism rooted in philosophy, it has always be applied in sociology, anthropology and cognitive psychology and pedagogy. Piaget is the first person who point out the theory, he is the most influential Swiss  psychology in the field of cognitive development.
Constructivism originated from the famous Swiss psychologists’ epistemology , that is to say teaching theory which holds that the interaction between internal and external factors would help the children to build and develop their cognitive. Piaget oppose the psychology’s opinion—stimulus-reaction formula, he proposed a stimulus-at-reaction formula, that is certain in their cognitive structure stimulus is assimilate by the individual, that will response to stimulation.


Accordingly, he think that the interaction between children and the environment refers to two basic process: “assimilation” and “adapt”. Assimilation (also called schema) means that the process of adapt the external stimulation information to their original mandate. Adapt means the process that the individual change their original cognitive in order to keep the cognitive balance according to the external stimulation [1] . So the individual achieve a cognitive balance with the surrounding environment through these two forms of assimilation and adapt, which is in order to get a cognitive balance. And children get their cognitive structure built up through assimilation and adapt. Then get a balance with the surrounding environment eventually. At the same time get the cognitive structure get rich, developed through the cycle of “balance-imbalance-balance” continually[2]. This is piaget’s constructivism on the basic viewpoint. In addition, psychologist vogotsgy , Bruner have made a major contribution for the development of constructivism. Many experts and scholars have made research from different angels on the constructivism and did achieved some development. For example Vogotsgy, he holds that the ability to stimulate their social and cultural knowledge of the individual will decide their senior thinking [3] .  This is learning from the historical and cultural point of view. Vogotsgy stressed that the social and cultural knowledge decide the individual’s mind. He believes that when adult and children get together to discuss the issue of learning, it is most effective. Piaget and Vogotsgy’s theory have laid a theoretical foundation from three aspects for the constructivism.
“Human’s cognitive ability always develops and changes,” [4] it is the theory of the assimilation of knowledge structure which means that the most important factor which effect learning is the knowledge the leaners have in their mind. So the teachers should give students lessons based on the knowledge the students have got in their mind.
