在英语教学中如何调动学生的积极性(英文)

Introduction plays an important role in classroom teaching. Appropriate introduction can have students make good preparations for learning in psychology. It can put students into a good learning condition and stimulate their interest in learning and the desire for knowledge, so students concentrate on the content for the new study.
Our daily life is closely related to the selected content in existing material, so it is very easy to find the combination of material and social reality. For example, the study can be combined with the raging sandstorm in the unit, Saving the Earth. When teaching Satellites, teachers can link with the“Shenzhou VI”, and the recent competition events on the sports. This connects the knowledge in real life with textbooks, giving books the sense of times. It is conductive to inspire students to change society and improve the social enthusiasm.
Now students are very interested in music because it has strong appeals and it is easy to talk about people’s feelings. For example, in unit 11, Country Music, SEFC Book 1A, some songs like Big Big World can be played before class. Familiar with these songs very much, students will be so happy that they are interested in the course of study, which will greatly improve classroom teaching.
Everyone wants to hear stories, especially students. Those vivid, moving and compelling stories can attract the students’ attention. According to the study, the use of stories of famous people is celebrated into courses. This method can help train students into thinking that focuses the attention of students.
The intensity of competition can make classroom full of serious thinking and fun atmosphere. It also attracts students to take part actively. This mainly uses students’ features to get and consolidate what they have learned. There are many kinds of competition, such as launching team race, gender race, and free combination race and so on. It can raise students’ enthusiasm, learning initiative and consciousness. For example, in this competition “more rapid response”, students can turn down the galley:
A: What’s this?
B: It’s a clock. What color is it?
C: It’s yellow. What are those?
D: They are books …
Sometimes students can be divided into several groups. Students in a relaxed and happy environment have unwittingly mastered all knowledge and increase the ability to hear and speak. As a result, they will get the unexpected memory.


Game is one kind of activities. It has the novel content, unique form and flexible method. It can also cause participant’s cerebrum to get excited. Game has many kinds of classifications, such as the knowledge game including the letter game, the word game, the sentence game, the grammar game, and the skill game including the hearing game, reading-writing game. It is an important method in English teaching, for it can make students be joyful with ease when learning English, enhance the technique effect, consolidate the knowledge, stimulate interest in learning and enhance the study efficiency. For example, in teaching pronouns, we can use the following game.
First, the teacher uses the prior board to produce cards and write 2 or 4 sentences on each card. For example:
A. I like your new shoes.
B. You borrowed a book from me yesterday.
C. This is not your cap. Yours is over there.
D. My brother saw his brother an hour ago.
Then, the teacher shows a card and asks a student to read aloud the sentence on cards, with the teacher responding quickly. For example:
S: I like your new shoes.
T: You like my new shoes.
S: You borrowed a book from me yesterday.
T: I borrowed a book from you yesterday.
And, this card is retaken and read by the teacher and students make a rapid reaction.
Last, the teacher turns around this game with teams of two performances. After students finish the first round of exchanging cards, the teacher regroups students to perform and repeat the game. Finally, the teacher gives students a stage to perform. A few students selected winners will be awarded.
Through the course of the game, students feel so relaxed and happy to accept and master the knowledge that is usually boring and difficult to them. Teachers should design and select games according to their teaching contents, combine and train the knowledge in the game.
To learn is to apply, so students should be able to speak English after learning it. As teachers in English training school, we will allow students to perform the text play that they have designed for 5 minutes in front of the class. It is as follows:

First, two students on duty have the report in English before class, such as the date, the weather. Then, these two students invite other students to join them to perform a good drama. The scene can be in accordance with the old lesson or created by them while the line must be used from the textbook. Doing this is to review the old lesson and the kind of review is not a simple repetition, but a language creation to gain a new understanding of the contents and eventually achieve the purpose of applying in the end.
