2. 3  School environment for teaching oral English
The relationship between school and students is just like the society with individual. The society restricts individual’s development. The school environment affects students’ learning spoken English more or less.
Questions 14,15,16 reflect that school has neither employed foreigner teachers nor make great efforts to adopt methods of promoting spoken English teaching such as organizing oral English test, contest about spoken English and so on. The school has not made any attempt in these aspects. However, these are actually advantageous to raise students’ interest in learning spoken English.
2. 4  Approaches students have adopted to learn spoken English
      In the process of oral English teaching, most students have used some ways of learning spoken English, but the using is not correct and methods are not enough. The emotion strategy and communication strategy help the students to improve spoken English. Reading, reciting and imitating are the basic ways to learn spoken English. In the following, the situations of these methods used in QiYang county will be showed [2].
   2. 4. 1 Emotion strategy
In the language teaching, emotion refers to the learners’ feeling which experiences in the process of learning a language, such as the sentiment, the manner and so on. Therefore, the emotion not only refers to the interest in learning, the enthusiasm and motivation in learning but also learners’ manner towards foreign language and foreign language use. The researchers discover that the emotion condition of learners in the process of learning activities influences their study behaviors and methods.
Questions 17, 18, 19 are about students’ interest in learning English. Many a student is interested in speaking English. After all, English is fresh for them. What questions 20 to26 and 30 investigate is about students’ manner and motivation of learning spoken English. Most students attend class seriously, but the manner is not correct, since the phenomenon of plagiarism presents 92.59% of students think that English is very important and 87.96% of them hope their teachers can help them raise spoken English proficiency. 62.96% learn to speak English on their initiative compared with other English skills. Only 42.59% think that spoken English is the most important while 25% of students think that grammar and vocabulary are quite important. About question 30, most students think that the outstanding students are not excellent as they should be. They should attach much importance to raise their spoken English, since what the society need is the capable talents. In the aspect of motivation, 42.95%of students hold that their motivation to learn English is to master English skills, while 25.9% of them is just for hunting a good job. Above explains that most students have already realized the importance of spoken English and the motivation is explicit, but the manner is not correct.
      Questions 27, 28 and 29 are about students’ confidence of learning English. Majority of students consider that their own proficiency is ordinary, but they have the confidence to improve their spoken English. In the daily life, when they speak English, they are anxious and shy, so they don’t dare to speak English. That indicates a large number of students have the confidence to learn spoken English well, however, they are lack of courage to express themselves in English. If the condition continues, it will dampen their self-confidence to speak English definitely.
   2. 4. 2 Communication strategy
     Obtaining knowledge lies in its utilization. The purpose of learning English is to achieve the goal of communication in English. Although junior middle-school students have learnt English for several years and have already had certain vocabularies and can carry on simple daily communication in English, in the process of communication they bump into some problems more or less. They don’t solve them properly, which will affect the continuity of communication.
      From question 31, we can see that 75% of students sometimes can answer questions in English. That indicates students haven’t fostered the habit of answer teachers’ question in English practically. Questions 32 to36 reflect majority of students can deal with the daily communication in English basically, but they will not exchange with each other in English on their own initiative. Moreover, as they run into difficulty in the process of communication, they don’t use the communication strategy correctly. Therefore, that implies that students should strengthen the use of it.
  2. 4. 3  Other methods used to learn spoken English
      Without methods, learning is just like the crawling snail. The path is long and hard. It’s quite difficult to have the great change. Therefore, students should try to find out proper and efficient methods of learning spoken English by themselves.
