With the appearance of the newly-born things and phenomena, lots of new words come into being. This is also a premier way to create new words.

Although the shape of word isn’t changed, the words meaning is changed by explication and imagery. For example,“底线”refers baseline of quadrate venue, but now it is always translated to “bottom line”, which means the lowest criterion or limitation.“磨合”is usually translated to “adjustment” instead of “mesh together”, which means adoption.“分流”was “split-flow” ago, but now is always translated to “reposition of redundant personnel”, which means companies’ reducing the staff trimmer.

Chinese affixation contains prefix and suffix. For example, “反…”：“反腐败”—anti-corruption,“反走私运动”—anti-smuggling drive；“可…”：“可比产品”—comparable product, “可持续发展”—sustainable development,“可支配收入”—disposable income;“…热”：“淘金热”—Gold rush,“出国热”—frenzy of going abroad; “…户”：“个体户”—self-employed household,“钉子户”—recalcitrant,“关系户”—connection,“特困户”—destitute household.[2] Certainly, the way of affixation is also an effective way to create new words.

Current political words has many characters which contains time effectiveness, full of political style, and full of cultural character.
1. 3. 1 Time effectiveness
Current political words are always new, that is time effectiveness. In some important meeting or special occasion, government will shape one's course practically. Subsequently, a lot of new political words came forth. For example, the phrase “harmonious socialist society” is from “build a harmonious socialist society”, which is firstly put forward in the The CPC`s Fourth Plenary Session of The Sixteenth Central Committee. And “Eight Glories, Eight Disgraces” was put forward by President Hu in Mar.4. 2006. Later, those phrases were used in lots of important committee and were popular fast.

Current political words is full of political style. Those brevity words or phrases deeply reflect the policy and guideline of a country in a phase, and will guild government work to some extend. For example：

“八七”扶贫攻坚计划 the seven—year program to help 80 million people out of poverty

China has a long history and rich culture. Two thousand years before, China ideologist Kong Zi brought on his ideology “world of Great Harmony”, which is the rudiment of “socialism harmonious society”. “World of Great Harmony” not only incarnates development goal of our country, but also reflects splendid historical culture. Further examples can be given:

1. 4 Present research on the translation of Chinese current political words
This chapter will analyze present research on the translation of Chinese current political words on two angles. One is the present translation situation, and the other is translation difficulties.
1. 4. 1 Present translation situation
Totally, political words translation work accords with the current situation of China, and propagandizes policy well. For example, the flight mission of Shenzhou VI is a great success in 2003, thus, the word “taikonaunt” which is like “astronaut” is created. “Taiko” is similar to Bopomofo “tai kong”, and suffix “naut” is like that of English word “astronaut”. Immediately, the new is accepted by many overseas mediums. Of course, the word is a successful example, because it not only expresses meaning, but also accords with Chinese linguistic grammar. However, as the differences of culture and political standpoint between China and west, the translation work still leaves much to be desired.
1. 4. 2 Translation difficulty caused by different culture and thinking mode
Because of lots of political words reflect China current situation, culture and thinking mode, translator should try best to keep the intrinsic form and feature. So that literal translation is necessary. Whereas, as the different thinking mode between China and west, translator should pay attention to it in translating process and make translation more acceptable. For example, Chinese like to use number in language, “三讲”、“三个代表”、“两个转变”、“五讲四美三热爱”、“一平二调”，all those local Chinese words are not existence translation already.
What’s more, because of long history culture, Chinese is full of associate meaning which is also a difficulty in translation. For example,“豆腐渣工程”is translated to jerry-built projects. And“铁饭碗”means a steady job. Take culture element into account, we should translate more careful.
