From this table, we can see that 45% of the student think that it is very useful to improve their spoken-English ability in all kinds of games. 30% of the students think that there is no training –atmosphere in the English class is the key difficulty in improving the spoken-English ability. 50% of the student say that the only spoken-English tool is their English book. Moreover,30.8%of the student say that their English teacher doesn’t have the habit to leave spoken-English homework. It seems like that their English teacher pay little attention to their spoken-English ability.
From the first table, we can see that 87.6% of the student think that the spoken-English is very important. 33.2%of the student doesn’t like to have English class if the class is too baldness.70%of the student likes to play English games in the class and 64.5% of the student thinks that they can get new knowledge during the process. Most of the students like to have English class in the computer room; what’s more most of the student likes English activities in school. But the present situation is that 30% of the students think that there is no training –atmosphere in the English class is the key difficulty in improving the spoken-English ability. 50% of the student say that the only spoken-English tool is their English book. Moreover, 30.8%of the student say that their English teacher doesn’t have the habit to leave spoken-English homework. There is a distance between the needs of the student and the current English teaching situation. Maybe it is the time for the English teacher to built a harmonious environment for the primary school student to improve their spoken-English ability.
3.2 The discussion
According to the result of the questionnaire, the present author makes a discussion about the factors which currently influence the primary school students' spoken English ability:
3.2.1 The factors influencing the improvement of primary school student’s
spoken English ability
Based on the questionnaire, the present author summarizes the factors which currently influence the primary school students' spoken English ability:
3.2.1.1 Old teaching idea Parts of spoken English teacher ignore the importance of the English communication, so that they pay less attention to the training of students’ spoken expression during their teaching process. They even do not have arrangements in their aims of teaching plan and comprehensive ability training plan. They give very less time to spoken English training in their class, where attentive plan, concentrated instruction and firmly train lack very much. Even neglect the students’ spoken English ability training in the reading and the composition teaching. It is the Long-term teaching negligence that makes the students is not good at speaking. Mr. Zhang Zhigong once said, “There have some language-teaching teachers, who are usually neglect the mouth and ear, only give their attention to hand and eye, This is the way that cut the root but hope a plant to bloom, Frankly speaking, this can only be called ikebana. We indeed have many teachers do such kind of work, they are industrious busy whole days but their wishes can not become true forever.”[3]
3.2.1.2 Old teaching mode Now in many primary schools, the English teaching is still live in the shadow of the influence of the examination-oriented education system, In a certain number of the English class, the teachers still play a leading role and the independence learning ability of the student is being neglected. They are not tired of teach the vocabulary, the sentence type and various phrasing knowledge, the coherent expression of the English language lack very much in the classroom. What’s more, the students become the teacher’s” loyal audience” [4], their right and opportunity of Participating in the classroom activity are being deprived of, their desire get lost, their usage of the opportunity is little, their ability of development meet infinite obstacle. The student's importation is far exceeding exportation. What’s more, in some cases although the spoken English ability has causing the attention of the teachers, however there exist the wrong language sound in the teacher's mouth, which Cause many mistakes appear in the students’ mouth, for example, while the student read English phrase, sentence, text and so on.
