Table 1 shows the following findings:
Firstly, as for listening, most students were satisfied with the current situation in listening. Above average of students were able to communicate English with each other. While most of them failed to understand the listening skills and specific word when listening, this may be improved in a sense through the approach of cooperative learning.
Secondly, as for speaking, 72.9% of the students in that class failed to express themselves as well as possible. Only 4.4 %( 2.2%+2%) were able to use English freely. It indicated that the ability to use English needed to be enhanced.
Thirdly, reading also brought a series of problems according to the table1.Most students were puzzled so much so that they could not grasp the complex structures and background information and nearly half of them were able to understand the foreign materials.
Fourth, writing was a serious problem for most students could not write something in English appropriately. The language points and contents were a difficulty in stopping them forward. Their passion for progress indicated that a new approach waited to be adopted immediately.

Analysis of table 2:
This table shows the result of cooperative learning that the half students have practiced. After a semester, these students have made rapid progress in listening, speaking, reading and writing respectively. From the data, we can see the approach of cooperative learning has indeed played a significant part in improving the interpersonal relationship between classmates, strengthening their confidence and enhancing their interests by the method as mentioned before: group investigation, jigsaw, learning together, and teams games tournament.

Student C: Groupmates are ready to answer my questions about what I don’t know. (Agree)
Comments on Statement 2: Cooperative learning stimulates me to learn actively.
