电脑架构的社会网路：社会学研究的新领域

　　如前所述，目前我们所亟需开展的第一项研究工作即是立刻著手进行一次全国性的调查，先较确切地弄清楚具网民身份的人民，在全台湾人口中所占的比例，以便评估「电脑网路社会」是否也已经在台湾逐渐成型。在能够较确切地指认出网民之后，我们便可以进一步研究这些网民的特徵（他们的社会类属、他们的心理状态、他们的生活态度、他们的价值观、他们的行为、甚至是他们的职业位阶及所属之组织团体等等）。凡此，都是社会学者可以著力之处。接著我们更可以扩大研究的范围，将传统真实社会下的一般平民也纳进来，作为比较网民与平民之间异同的基础。等这些基本的研究的成果出来之后，接下来可供研究的空间就更宽广了。举凡对「个人与组织关系重构」的检视、人类沟通方式的基本改变、人与人之间如何建立信任（尤其是在电脑网路之上）、乃至网路上人际关系的建立等等，只要具有足够的社会学想像力，都是俯拾即得的理想研究题材。当然针对台湾社会来说，研究重点似乎更应该放在（一）电脑网路科技在当代台湾社会发展的现况及其意义，（二）电脑网路科技对台湾社会各方面的影响评估及（三）电脑网路科技对台湾民众行为及态度的冲击等层面；以便更确切的了解当代台湾电脑网路社会的真实面貌。

　　总之，人类社会（当然包括台湾社会）继「知道用火」和「工业革命」之后，又一次面临了历史发展的大转变时刻。面对这样的变局与挑战，人类实有无穷的机会让其所赖以生存的环境，能被「整理」的更理想更舒适一点，如果人类真能记取历史教训的话。只是，至今我们对这样的变局虽然有所体察，但所知仍然极为有限。所幸，这波电脑网路革命的浪潮尚在初始发端阶段，我们如果动作快一点，还有驾驭这股浪潮的机会，而不是活生生的被这股浪潮所淹没。
