Abstract: In recent decades, there is an increasing tendency of globalization all over the world, and it’s of vital importance for developing countries to take the opportunity to improve their technological competence. To meet such ends, this paper expounds the model of secondary innovation based on global competition through the case of Haier Refrigerator. It observes the different phases of Haier Refrigerator in the secondary innovation, and analyzes the changes of its strategies and R&D, which may give some suggestions to Chinese manufacturing companies on secondary innovation.
